Another thing. SDW feather out to have white heads. See how light that chick's head is?
Black feathers on the breast will confirm male.

I've had 2 year old hens that didn't have that much comb, lol.
Jokes aside, that's a boy, best I can tell.
Lol I told guy at TS I wanted the light ones. Pretty sure I picked up 6 boys. Wanted some Bantam girls for my little frizzled roo. Hmm I have a couple from a second trip to ts that might be girls. Thanks for info. I'll probably try to get a few more pics tomorrow
Most SDW roos I've had were awesome birds. Had one that was obviously spawned in hell. Meanest OEGB I've ever seen, and I've raised quite a few. He was a 24 oz bird (most of mine are 19ish) and you had to be careful or he would hurt you.
How are Bantam Roos together? My RIR pretty much ignores Zappa my little frizzled roo luckily.
Beautiful!! I absolutely love Toes, but especially her boyfriend!. What's his name? He's handsome.I finally took the camera out and got a few pictures of some of my OEGBs. I really wanted to get pics of all the chicks and get opinions on colors and such but most weren't cooperating. Here are my four adults. The BBR hen I got from a breeder in Jan 2016. She was about 8 weeks old then. She's a great broody and mama. I just call her "Mama" (which I also call my very broody Japanese bantam). The Mille Fleur pullet I hatched last summer from shipped eggs. Only two hatched and she's the only one that made it past day 2. I had a lot of trouble with her feet. The outer toes kept wanting to curl under and she would walk on them. I taped and made shoes several times, they would fix, and then curl back under. They are flat now though misaligned, and her name is "Toes".
Toes was all by herself when brooding in the house (I didn't want her in the outside brooder because I needed to tend to her feet) so I took a random chick from another clutch to put with her. I was 90% sure it was a female. Obviously I was wrong, but he turned out to be the best little cockerel ever. He's a real sweetheart and loves to snuggle. He came from Ideal Poultry in a bantam assortment. He'll never win any prizes for looks, but his personality can't be beat.
There was also a silver duckwing in the bantam assortment from Ideal and she turned into this nice little lady. She's also rather friendly, and talkative as well.
So far the OEGB chicks I got from Ideal last month seem pretty friendly as well. Here are a few that I was able to get pictures of. Feel free to give me input on colors. I also have one that I though I got a pic of (maybe it's on my phone) that started out barred but is becoming solid and only the chest is barred now. Could that be a female crele? I thought it was a male crele because of a very defined head spot and the early full body barring but maybe I was wrong.![]()

I see a couple self-blues and SDWs in those chicks, but someone else will have to help with the color identifications.
