Black Roo #1. He's the one in my avatar, a little more mature.
Roo #2. Dogs and chickens can get along.
Roo #2. Hellspawn. Stood with his foot on an egg tonight and dared me to come get it. I really like him, but we've obviously got trust issues.

Sweet @jophus congrats!
Did my 14 day candle last Friday evening. Strangly, the OEGB eggs blood vessels look alot more dispersed and darker than the sebright eggs. Have you noticed that with yours? Chicks still active, so they haven't quit, I hope they weren't in the process. Plan to check them again tonight.
Eggs just look different sometimes. I've seen all kinds of vascular development in the CAM, and have chicks out of all types of eggs. As long as the chick is active, you're good.
Yea differences are to be expected, just found it odd that all the OEGB eggs looked that way this time. These are the first I've incubated from this pullet, so maybe that has something to do with it. Development still looks good this evening, so I'm not concerned. Day 16![]()

I can't wait to see what those chicks look like. These are the SDW and your new hens, right?
