I found a picture of a blue red old english game bantum. Looks just like yours. I have red pyle OEGB bantums and the similarities between your roo and mine made me think yours is an OEGB. I searched if red pyles can come in black and found the blue red OEGB.View attachment 1057727 View attachment 1057726
Okay please forgive my ignorance because I'm very new to this... Somehow this little guy got mislabeled or tossed in with a group of week old brown leghorn pullets. When he started crowing we assumed we had a brown leghorn roo (one of the 10% that sneaks through). Then when all my pullets outgrew him we figured he must be a brown leghorn bantam. Finally today (he's exactly 15 weeks old) we figure out that his red earlobes means he can't be a brown leghorn at all, so he was COMPLETELY lost in that pen with all brown leghorn pullets! I've searched the interwebs, and I'm now thinking he's an OEGB (maybe... I clearly have proven I have no clue what I'm doing!). He doesn't look exactly like any of the pictures I found via the google machine, but he's definitely a tiny thing (that's my 13 week old Easter eggers in the background for comparison). We had no plans of keeping a rooster, but despite him being as loud as can be, we are planning on keeping him bc he's an excellent rooster and keeps all my ladies in order.
If any one could chime in and tell me their opinion (on if he's in fact an OEGB, the type, or anything else that might be helpful - since I've been researching the wrong breed for 15 weeks like an idiot...) I would much appreciate it!!

Here's some more of him current day to show his breast and body colors a little better.
Scroll down about 2/3 of the way and there is a picture of a Mahogany rooster. http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/Games/GameBantams/BRKOEGBantams2.html
I think he is either that or just BBR. Either way, if he is behaving well, he is a keeper. I love my OEGB roosters. Most of mine came from Ideal.
