This is Lucy. Her roo, Ricky, got killed by our dog when he flew the coop. She is now in with our big girls. She gets picked on, but is fast enough and small enough that she can get away when she needs to. She really is one of our sweetest chickens.

Here's a few new pictures of my OEGB (fondly refered to as mobile yard art

) I got them from my neighbor last summer.

Tabasco and Chili - He is an old man, about 4 or maybe 5. As you can tell he has had a rough life before I got him and lost all the points on his comb to frostbite. She is from a february hatch last year.

More Tabasco and Chili - That roo has more cleavage than I do! Notice the scratches from getting tangled in my miniature rose bushes.

Salsa and one of her brood peeking out from under her wing. There are three. Two are from Chili's eggs, and one of Salsa's. I'm holding off naming the little nuggets until I know the gender.

Ha ha! You read my mind! I think I am going to name them after the types of chile peppers that are grown locally (New Mexico). I've picked Ancho, Chimayo, and Pasilla since we KNOW I will get at least 2 roos out of three chicks! On the off chance I get 2 pullets I can swap Ancho for Jolokia!

My pastor down here has been ecstatic because he was succesful in growing a beautiful bush of Bhut Jolokias AND having it produce... We always teased him about his Butt peppers.(Older gentlemen volunteering with us couldnt remember the jolokia...lol
