Show off your Old English Game Bantams!!

Pics
Thanks, some had dark eye stripes when they were born. Some of the combs came in later than others. Their tails look different too, some have a U shape with longer feathers at the end, while a few have a V shape like the definitive hen's tail.

I am in denial I think. I have searched and searched for photos of 1 month old old english bb bantams, can't find any. I think they are reds. But the females do have combs, right? How do I know fir certain if they are males or females? Is there a definite way to tell?

We can only keep 3, and some people on here say it is okay to keep several roosters. I dunno about that.

Your help and guidance is very appreciated.

If you can just post a group shot and we will try to help. If you raise males together they will usually live together without problems.

I am so glad I found this thread especially since it is still going! I ended up with 11 banties and except for the white Japanese (she is so cute)and two barred rock banties I think all the rest are OEGB. I have posted pics and asked what others think they are but after reading all these posts and looking at the beautiful pics I realize there are many, many type and colors. I can't wait for the little rats to finish feathering out, I think I have at least 5 roosters and don't know where I will put them. I hope more people post on here.

Me too!! This could be a super fun thread if there was just a little more actor on it. Come on every one that is reading, speak up.

Our county fair is next week. The cockerel I was going to take is still growing in his tail. Since this is the case, we have to take a BB Red pullet. My little boy is excited and ready to go. He will give the pullet a bath, trim toenails and beak. She will look great. Can't wait.

Our fair is this weekend, I don't show or anything, but I'm going down this evening to look at the birds. It should be fun! I do want to get my sons into showing birds when they are old enough. I know I have a lot to learn between now and then. Good luck at the fair!! Let us know how you do, and show us pictures.
