I have never raised up black shoulders so i am not sure how long it takes them, IB's peacocks usually have all their permanent colors around 2 but it can very from bird to bird as to how long it will take the scales between the shoulder blades to achieve their final colors. My IB hens pretty much have all their permanent colors by 7 months except the face area where facial markings take a little bit longer
Spring Cleaning for the Board.
Hey Every One! Happy New Year! I've been absent for a couple months and have desperately missed my BYC Peafowl fix. I opened a new Gift Store in November and have been working my tail off ! (Ha! little peafowl joke there) Sales were great, the economy is not dead and I'm a happy camper.
How would every one feel about starting some fresh threads under Peafowl? All the topics have gotten kinda merged, so some great information is getting lost. Can we start a few fresh threads labeled " Medicating Peafowl 2014" " Feeding Peafowl 2014", "Sick Peafowl Questions 2014", Peafowl Housing, Raising Baby Peas 2014, Peafowl Varieties, and of course.... the ever popular topic "Sexing Peafowl" I don't want to step on any toes, but It would be great to then copy and paste some of the pertinant info from older threads back up front onto the New Fresh threads- so its readily available again.
Those thread titles are just ideas- feel free to edit or add.
I don't frequent the board enough to charge ahead and do this myself- so thought I would run it by you, the group. ....just thinkin.... Miss Molly
