That pied boy is just so beautiful! So that green is a Burmese? Where did you get him from and do you have more photos of him? The reason I ask is because he is very good looking, but I am not sure about him being a Burmese, he looks like a different subspecies or a mix of subspecies because his wings are too blue to be a Burmese.
Imported Burmese peafowl photos taken at Rocking BAB Ranch: Notice how in the shade, the wing feathers are very dark.

Females

Male - Overall a very dark kind of green peafowl.

Peahen in the sunlight - not much color on the wings.

Your boy looks more like a Javanese or maybe even an Imperator. He is too colorful to be a Burmese to me.

MR Tubbs at 8 months

Pie at 8 months old , he is hunting for grass shrimp
Your peafowl get to go on such great adventures! Your photos are great as always! Mr. Tubbs has an amazing crest! I like the shape of his beak also.

Hi there! I bought "Fred" my "Burmese" from Hopkin's alt. Livestock. According to Mr. Hopkins he is pure, if you check out their website they have lots of pics of their Burmese. I actually chose Burmese as the green I wanted, because they seemed to have the most blue, and I liked that. I know the prevailing opinion is that most greens in this country are actually spaldings, and that is okay w/ me. I never planned on breeding pure greens, I don't trust people in my area to provide them with the heat they need in winter. So we will produce only spaldings and represent them as such. The Pied is Harley, he was a rescue and by far the most popular bird I have. Everyone wants a chick that will look like him when it grows up. :) In the 2 years I've had him, Fred has never had a crest, he allows everyone else to pick it off. He's only 2 in the bottom pic.

Fred is very beautiful. I have heard that India blue varieties love to pick on green peafowl feathers for some reason. Not all the time but sometimes. Fred looks nice even if he lets the others pick off his crest. You have a nice mix of birds. :)

Yeah a lot of greens are spaldings. it is just an issue because greens are endangered and so people sell spaldings as greens and it gets them more money but is not necissarily helping the endangered green peafowl.

I went back and looked at Hopkin's pics again. I'm wondering about the age of the ones in your photos, any idea? Some of the 2 year olds and yearling on Hopkin's site look very similar to your pics, the adult males however are dead ringers for Fred. Not a big deal, just curious, I like Fred no matter what he is. He has a much better personality than I expected him to. He is very tame with me and will stand in front of me and jump up to grab bites off a banana, his fav. treat. He does get skittish when strangers get close though.
