Zaz, my 2 BS hens are getting brown around their necks. Is that right?

I have seen it in photos but i do not have BS here so i don't know much about the colors in person. i do love the hens and have thought of getting one but decided to stay with white, pied and split white, that is why i sold my cameo.

Many colors of b/s hens gets a gold-brown ring around their necks just below their head as they get older.Opal b/s hens are mostly white without getting this ring.

A small correction on silverpied genetics. Silver pieds carry two copies of white eye gene , besides one white gene and one pied gene. Only loud pieds if they can be called so --- carry one white, one pied and ONE copy of white eye gene. I love all silver pieds especialy Blackshoulder silverpieds. All your birds are absolutely gorgeous Joe. excellent collection.
