Show off your Peas!

My Peacock wouldn't even fan until the Guineas went out but then, I would find an egg and it would disappear. Turns out my young male was eating them as fast as she laid it. He now has his own pad along with 2 other young adult Peacocks.

Colbolt is still shedding his. I got 104 feathers from him that are sell quality got more with missing ends and bent quills (26) and more to go. The train feathers left are the ones covering his tail feathers.

I'm still trying to get white peachicks. A nature trail near where I live has white peafowl but they won't sell they might trade chicks. They have a board meeting the 20th to discuss what they are going to do with the chicks. problem is I don't got any peachicks. I should be getting an IB peahen on the 24th or 25th hopefully. She is suppose to be the same age as Colbolt so it's perfect. Next year for fair I will show Thora and maybe some white peafowl if I can get some white peafowl.

I have seven hens that are Cameo or Cameo/Black Shoulder, what do you think?
They and my IB and IB/Pied hen produced BS, Cameo, IB, Cameo/Pied, and perhaps Cameo/BS chicks this year with two cocks, both carrying Cameo genes a IB/Pied WE and a BS. I am trying to find the hen that produced the BS chicks.
Some of the hens are shown multiple times here for better camera angles, some were very camera shy and hard to photograph.

I don't see cameo black shoulder hens, maybe they are split for BS?!

Agreed, I think those are all Cameo barred wing (or wild type) hens, the cameos tend to bleach out over the course of a year so they can end up looking very white by the time they molt. I looked at the front of the necks and chests and your's are very tan there and you can see that scallop looking pattern we talk about on the neck feathers of hens. My Cameo BS is not tan there and I do not think you will see that scallop pattern on any Black Shouldered hens. My Cameo BS girl has just a bit of the tan at the top of the neck. Any of them could be split to BS and produce BS chicks with a BS male or split BS male, the only way you could nail it down for certain would be to separate all of them during breeding/laying and keep track of each individuals eggs. So you better get to work! You're gonna need a lot more pens!
