Were they sold as "Cameos" perhaps? Or just plain "Peacocks"?
Congrats on the new peas, they're pretty! Okay, gonna be a buzz kill, but only because the last time I didn't say something the bird died. To me it's looks like both are cold, stressed or sick. Are they eating, warm enough and how does their poop look? Sorry, I don't want to scare you, but I think it's worth keeping a very close eye on them. Might also be a good idea to keep them in a warm room, 80-85 degrees would be ideal.

Quote: Three or four times now I haven't said what I was thinking and all of those birds are dead now. Please forgive me if I'm wrong, I really hope I am. And I hop all of you know that I would welcome the same sort of comments from you. Personally, it's better for me when people don't beat around the bush... I prefer brutal honesty.

Was just checking out the UPA facebook page...I totally forgot that the convention was being held this past week. They posted 4 photos from the convention. If one photo is correct, it looks like only 13 people were at the convention. I think the conventions just keep getting smaller...Maybe they should be held closer to us southerners *hint hint*.I want to go sooo badly!!! SO SO SOOO badly!!!

I figure if I can meet some of the big breeders in person it will be harder for them to avoid my questions then if I just emailed them or called them on the phone.I really wanted to go a year or so ago when they visited Brad Legg. I don't want to volunteer Rocking BAB to host a convention, but I know they have hosted one in the past and I think that would be really awesome if they did it again. I know it is great going to their farm day. I don't have anything to look at so I couldn't host one. Not sure anyone wants to travel here just to see 7 peafowl in one pen.

I have a baby guinea who was all fuzzed up like they do when they have a parasite. I had just wormed them so I didn't think that was it. I was able to get a good look at him, and he had been injured o the back of his head. I couldn't see it for his feathers. After about 3 days his feathers went back down and he is fine. What I'm getting at is that if they have been wormed look for an injury. Sometime they are not easy to see.
