Show off your Peas!

X2 on the drawing thing...  sometimes it's just too much.

Do your boys have trains yet?  Mine have been calling for several weeks, starting with the one with the longest train, then the others started a couple weeks later.  I heard the neighbor's pea calling today, and I know my neighbor doesn't use any heat or lamps or heat bulbs or anything out there for his birds.

I can't figure out what got the hen laying, though...  do you think the incessant calling could have gotten her confused too?  Or do you think it might be this crazy weather?  I was attributing it to the first, hard cold spell (when that freeze came down from the pole), followed by the warm weather...  if I were a pea, I could have been confused into thinking it was spring and time to get with the program..

As of tonight, I now have 5 eggs :lau

I have seen the same thing. I saw my white male displaying then he screeched and ran at a female she ran off, but oh my they are mixed up on seasons!

My white male did the same thing today! Then the alpha peacock flew down off of the perch at him to let him know he isn't allowed to do that!
Today Peep was displaying and then Frosty started displaying next to him. I decided to make the photo a Christmas photo.

For some reason it is a little blurry now that I have uploaded it, but anyways I hope everyone (people and peafowl) has a great Christmas!!

These are my four peas. All nearing 6 months. The one in the back left and the one in the middle are black shouldered. I believe the one in the back left is a male and comparing it to the other black shouldered in the middle, I thought it was a she. After looking at different pictures, I am getting somewhat confused. Is the one in the middle a female? She has the blueish speckling on her neck but not to the extent of the male. I keep second guessing myself with her. Could someone please help me decide! Thanks!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Thanks to all those who have helped make this year a success. I hatched my first peachicks successfully with all of your help! And I got my peahouse built! It's been a busy year!

I'm guessing male. Just a late bloomer. I don't see fawn, golden Marshmallow color on the neck so I'm guessing male. Also that black is really bold instead of cloudy. This is a hen.
