Shell is an incredibly pretty girl, is Cricket her mom?

I'm surprised to see that Cricket is so sociable while on her eggs.
When Mom had her nest right outside our window two years ago, she didn't get much company.
This seems like a late hatch, how long has she been on the eggs?
You must be very excited!

AWW THANK YOU!! This is Cricket's 2nd set of eggs for the season. She hatched some out in April and last month she made it clear she didn't want her 2 babies following her she beat them up bad every time they would try and follow her so I took them to auction and soon after she laid eggs.

Cricket was hand-raised and is very social. I think that's why she welcomes her company with a peck on the cheek. Also, Shell is not the daughter of Cricket. Shell's mother I sold and Shell immediately started catering to Cricket. It's strange how peafowl society works!

That's the babies...you haven't seen the SLR pics of them. It will blow your mind....I got a preview last night...wait till you see the babies walking through the Bahia grass.
