Show off your Peas!

Do the neck feathers on both sides of the neck look like they are folded towards each other or overlaping in a line down the neck on both sides or do they look like smooth hair?

It is hard to tell in the photo of this white hen but the feathers are folded towards each other, she is around 8 months old in this photo I will try to get a photo of a colored hen so you can see it eaiser

See the line down the side of the neck , this is where the feathers fold towards each other or over lap each other when the hen gets up from resting or when she has had her neck hunched down by her body, it is not there all the time but can be seen often in my hens.

figured i would put out there....not that i need any more pairs but mom wants to get this 2009 purple pair...i found it for 235 for the pair..and they have a 2009 spaulding male for 160....not sure on what im going to do...but its a clean bird and its from an npip farm...so thats good...hope everyone has been staying busy...its super mucky in the back yard now that everything is thawing...the trio have been laying in their nest...and i did see him display today...just no camera at the time...have a great day everyone

I am sure he knows how to sex whites , those tail feathers are throwing me off but it could be that the ones under the lacey feathers are molting and only has short ones left.
it does look like folded feathersthe way they are sticking out in your photo but being white it is really hard to be sure

Here is a close-up to a pix that I already took.
