My babies, one of them is an OPPS goose, not sure how he got this color but i am courious about how he will feather out.

I love that pic Zaz. I had some baby turkeys that would strut when my boy was in their pen.21 years ago. My how time flys!
Aww i kinda want turkeys but DH does not care for them for some reason, heck i figured if he could get use to doing the goose dance a turkey on the place would be a breeze

He did not say i could not have them just that he did not like them, perhaps something from his unknown childhood has turned him against them

PS yes time does fly at this point in my life i do wish it would not fly so fast, gliding would be nice

You can mainly tell the pattern in the peahens...They are like black shoulders but with more flecks on the neck. You don't hear the term much anymore or at least not much on the forums.

Sorry! Just catching up! So this is a late post to the thread.
This would make a great article for the Peafowl magazine. There is not much info out for Peas and breeding, unfortunately. I keep trying to learn more but even with the magazines brought to me by my friend from way back to 2006 of Peafowl Today, had so very little info in them as to let me know why there are so few members in the UPA. Info is what newbies need and that is why I wanted to join. I love coming to this site because of what all I learn.
Thank you all!

Hmmmm, so I have noticed with my certain breeds of poultry that when they have the lines next to the eyes that I can determine gender. Maybe works for peafowl, too? This handsome fella has the line coming from the middle of his eye as boys do in poultry here on my farm. Girls have lines come from under the eye. Anyone else noticed it?
