What I learned from this group about a year ago was that once the chicks are a few weeks old that the females have less barring on their back feathers. With this info I was able to correctly sex my six 2012 chicks when they were 3-4 weeks old. Another thing that I noticed was the two of mine that were redder, like the middle chick that new posted a picture of, ended up being boys, but that is based on too small a sample set for me to be sure.
