No way to tell fertility by candling (Zazouse, I know you know this

Just wanted to add my 2 cents... I haven't candled as many eggs as most of you, but when I candle I certainly cannot define where the egg yolk is vs. the egg white. it might be a bit darker where the yolk is, but it is very hard to see especially when the features of the egg shell get distracting such as little dots on the shell. That is just what I have found but I don't use a fancy candler just a little black plug in one.

Bronze peafowl are really neat looking I always feel like I am looking at a black and white photograph of a peafowl when I see them.

It's not high tech. Those spots you see are the pores in the egg and I've yet to see the difference in yolk and albumen when candle lighting.

The high tech must be locating the bullzeye then? Bet thats a real challenge since you cannot tell the diffrence on yolk vs whites inside the egg? Try a 4500 lumen LED flashlite in the dark when candling,,amazing what you can and cannot see.

I bet it is fun at your place early in the morning when the peafowl fly down from the roost. When I free-ranged for that short time I loved watching Ice and Fire fly down from the big oak tree. It is very cool watching an adult peacock flying.
