If you don't mind me asking why do you wear those shoe covering. Only animal that I have that tries to eat shoes is my calf Surprise.

I have 14 Peacock pens, I am in them constantly throughout the day. Collecting eggs, and feathers, feeding, watering, & socializing. I also have guineas, chickens and a turkey roaming around the property and barn. The disposable shoe covers keep all the poop out of my sneaker treads so they are a big time saver, they even keep mud out. I'd be lost without them.

Perhaps we were a little harsh, but personally, I would rather have my fellow posters *not* beat around the bush and sugar coat their posts. So, to all of you out there, if you ever think I'm doing something wrong, dangerous or stupid, please don't be shy, just say what's on your mind. I still have lots to learn and I'm willing to hear suggestions on how to do things differently.

Although what Pedda said above is correct phenotypically, when we speak of genetics we should really speak genotype, not phenotype.  The correct answer seems to me to be:  25% white blackshoulder, 50% BS split white and 25% BS.  If you breed those white appearing birds to an IB BS you will get BS birds.  In my way of thinking we have gotten to lax.

Got in trouble selling a white cameo as a "white" bird.  Will not make this type of mistake again, intentionally anyway.

This is an important point, maybe we should tell peolpe about the hidden color under the white specially if its sex liked color, but when mating white x white all the offspring will be white what ever the hidden color is, right?

Thanks it is a work in progress.
Rain and then sun means a hot muggy mess, which messes with my sinuses and it makes my ears hurt off and on , on rare occasions i get a headache but hot wet washcloths help with that most of the time.

I did not know you all got into the 100's over there also.

Yep. Sometimes in the summer it does get into the 100's. Last night the forecast said we'd reach 101, but now it says 100 exactly. Though I can't say it for sure, as they always change it.
