Last night after the hen and two babes were roosted for the night all of a sudden I looked out and saw one on the ground so I went out got her and brought her in. She had dried blood on her face and her beak is broken. I haven't a clue what happened! I gave her a bath and babied her for the night. Diapered her up and she slept in the living room on this "cat castle" we have. She was really good. Fed her some hot oatmeal with sliced bananas in it. Poor thing stood peeping for the others once daylight came and she could see them outside so I let her back out. I'm not sure if there's really anything I can do for her beak. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears!

I can not see where the break is, she must have hit something going up to the roost.
If she is eating and drinking ok i would just put her back out with her friend and keep an eye on her, the stress of separation will only make things worse IMO

If it is just the very tip, the bird should heal up just fine. I've seen some threads with birds that are missing almost the whole thing and are surviving.

I just enlarge the first photo and see it is the tip of the bottom beak tip is broken off, it will; be fine , not like if it were split open then it could be a real problem as sometimes splits are difficult to stop without doing a bit of work to them.

I would not put med on it it needs to dry so it can harden off so bacteria can not enter,remember all kinds of stuff can stick to oil or jelly Base products if not covered

the beak is like their hand they use it all the time making it susceptible to bacteria

once it hardens the healing process has begun and the beak will grow back just fine, it is not that bad.
