Show off your Peas!

I think there is another big storm coming, that warming trend is just to lull you back into your bikini and flip flops so you really experience the new cold wave and snow drifts with appropriate enthusiasm

No doubt!

My fingertips are all still hurting from going outside to feed yesterday with no gloves... I guess I stayed out longer than I should have and must have frost-nipped the tips again... Sigh. You'd think I'd know better and would be more careful...

What sort of heat (if any) do you have for your birds? Do they manage okay in those low temps with no supplemental heat? How about as youngsters?
Thora and Marshmallow are in with the chickens so they get a heat lamp and stay inside while Colbolt and Sage just stay inside and lay down in the wool or hay. Now that I have a job at a place called Wahooz, it's an arcade area I should be able to buy more heat lamps for my birds.

Getting a job is exciting and a big step towards adult life -- good for you!

We can't even get above 20*. Almost every morning is -6* for the past week now.
Now you know why he has wool bedding.
If you don't count the wind chill, we've been getting into the 20's here during the day. Not as cold at night as Birdrain, but too cold for me. I seem to dislike it more than the peas.

I'm not to fond for winter but eventually I get used to it. That old hen I got she buries herself in the wool while Colbolt and Sage sit on the wool or in the hay I put in there. Thank you!
