The ones that lay eggs... are GIRLS. The ones with long tails are BOYS.

How loud are peafowl. Trying to decide peafowl or no peafowl.

They're quite loud, especially during breeding season.
So if you have nearby and/or unfriendly neighbors, it's probably not a good idea.
However, they are wonderful creatures!

Well my closest neighbor is like half a mile away but...... My mother will never allow noise from that.

Also that half a mile neighbor is my uncle who owns 200 chickens 60 turkeys 20 geese and runs a dog boarding kennel I dont think he will have a problem with any noise

. The next closest owns a dairy farm with loud cows. But as I said they are not the issue.

Okay, so you have seven of them, right? Can you identify individual birds, or are they just seven interchangeable parts right now?

Edited to add: In other words, when you look at your birds, do you know which one you are looking at and remember which bird it is (say Sam or Fred or Aunt June), or can you personally not tell them apart one from the other yet?
