You said loud. How loud are these birds. Also what is there size. Still thinking about it......

They are quite loud, their calls tend to carry a good distance. They are not quite as annoying as guineas, but I do think they are louder than roosters. Also while a rooster is usually quiet at night, Peacocks will call all thru the night. Size is similar to a goose or small turkey. We live in a rural area, but we do have neighbors, luckily all of them have loud noisy animals as well, so we all get along and nobody complains.

I though a turkey was the size of a small goose????

I suppose it depends on the type of goose and type of turkey.

I don't have any geese but I have a 35 lb. hen turkey. My biggest male Pea is taller than her but he only weighs about 12-13 lbs. Peas are close to Canadian geese in size and they can fly really well, so they don't get nearly as heavy as domestic turkey or geese which are too heavy to fly.

Ok well my uncle (also neighbor) has a 3/4 wild tukeys and 1/4 domestic so they are small. And has huge touluse geese. Its funny all they had was female red bourbon turkeys to begin with because they killed all toms but a wild tom came over and bred with the hens and now the babies are two generations so now you see the 3/4 and 1/4.

They can be loud during breeding season, mine get spooked sometimes and take off screaming their darn heads off then they all honk till the coast is clear and during breeding season the big boy do the mating call every time they hear something strange in the distance.

I Chinese geese and peas and IMO the peacock looks much bigger than the goose with his train but he is also lower to the ground, but the goose is much heaver for sure.

Here are some photos of them together.
one of my poor geese got a bag stuck on her neck and everyone was in a panic cause they thought a booger had her.
