I will try to keep y'all updated on Patch & his ladies. They seem to be doing relatively fine. I know they aren't happy staying penned, but it's just temporary. Before long they'll get to explore their new territoryO did not sell him on purpose, the folks that got him had a kinda small cage for a bigger train so i snatched up one with a smaller train and i realized after they left that Patch was missing so i had them send me a photo and it was him, they offered to bring him back in a month or two but i refused that offer for various reason , they traveled a pretty good distance to get these birds. For those that did not know him Patch was the first egg i got here and It had a hole in it and i patched it with toilet paper and wood glue then i had to help him out cause he could not get out cause the patch was to hard, that is how he got his nameI miss him terrible but it will pass in time and i will be left with his memory
at least now i know i will not run over him now, silly boy. I hope the new owner will join the forum and keep us updated as to how him and his 3 girls are doing, i try to tell everyone that purchases a pea about this site but nobody seems to come but this time i gave out a BYC card so mabe some of these folks will start joining us on the forum, i know some folks just like to read and not participate.

Ok, I'll guess. The ones with red rings are girls and the blue ones are boys.![]()
We bought three white chicks this summer. We used the ring on a string and thought we had a trio. Well now they are six months old and one is a LOT bigger than the other two. He has a bigger head, neck, legs, feet, heck, he is just big all over. They were all about the same size when we got them so we are fairly certain we got our trio.![]()

I learned the hard way that size does not always mean a boy or girl! When Peep was hatched he was almost twice the size of his sibling, as he grew he had the coloring of a BS male then about 5 weeks age all of HER cored feathers fell out and she was colored like my other BS hens. She is huge for a 6 mo hen!
By the way the smaller one is her brother which we swore was a female!
You guys will nvr believe this but in a 5 mile radius there are 2 other people with peas one with a lot including whites and blues and other one has blues but the one with only blues has a zebra as a pet so they say its a zoo lol but now I can talk to them and maybe get a gene pool going
