Thanks we almost always have a pile of branches and leaves that need burning so I should be able to get wood ashes soon. After everyone's comments though I think I will try the seven dust. I looked in Peep's ears and saw the mites in there. Actually after googling bird mites, I think these are bird lice instead of mites. They hide in his ears and come out to drink water from his eyes. I pick them off and pop them like you would a flea. Anyways, I don't want my poor babies covered in bugs.Minx if you have wood ashes make a dust area with them they will get rid of the mites and lice also, when i burn a pile of trees the peas here head straight for that ash pile to dust just as soon as it cools. never use ashed from treated wood or any kind of trash just ash from wood and leaves
Never raised up a black shouldered pea but i bet he still has some changes to make and will loose those white feathers, he has no flight feathers right?Zaz Big blue is gettin more white instead of less white on him!
