Wee Pea loves it out of the pen, he/she is still small enough to fly threw the gate.

My Prince is soooooooo stuck up. He wants nothing to do with anyone in the yard. :/

I brought my Canon EOS Rebel T2i (the big guns) to the pea pen today...

I found two white-tipped feathers on Muppet's back. Weird.

Ladies and gentlemen the very first picture of Olav displaying. I bought him as an India Blue Black Shoulder, but he doesn't look like my IB B/S split Opal, who is more black than dusty grey, also the split Opal is VERY blue/green on his neck, but Olav isn't showing much shine yet... Any suggestions as to why they're so different?

Have fun with your new camera lots of settings to learn, i never learn them all i just stumble threw them till i find the ones i like .LOL it sucks to be handycapable

That's Muppet, she's in the first 4 photos, she's either Bronze or IB split Bronze. I don't know how to figure out which.



Sorry for the brightness... camera settings..

I've had my camera for a couple years, I just don't use it lot because I don't like the chance of getting it dirty, and it's quicker to use the camera on my cell phone. I do the same, just kind of pick whatever settings sound nice. I don't know how to work it, but it's always good having a camera that takes nice pictures regardless of who's clicking the button.

Muppet at this point looks to be IB,,her front lower chest feathers are white -creamy colored where my 100% bronze hens have dark chest feathers by comparision. Muppet hatched from "Scooter" who is the supposed "Bronze" that came from an e-bay seller located in Iowa,,same guy caused me my Midnight B/S grief because of his mis-marked eggs."Scooter" used to fly out of the brooder box across from my computer and sit on top of my puter screen.If I was laying on the couch watching tv,she would fly the other direction to come sit atop the couch.Scooter has to be the mom of your Muppet.Muppet will be split to bronze so it seems,since UPS was the known dad.

ok so here's how our saturday went....
rainy cloudy morning, but then the rain stopped and clouds started departing... soooo we let the peas out 5.5 months old all

right away rose went to the shop. - to hide from Audrey...

So Houdina got caught.....

but she didn't mind after she realized we were taking pictures, here this is my good side.

and make sure to get my color,

oh and dont forget my beautiful ever changing crest. (almost all the long skinny feathers have now been replaced with normal crest feathers - this kid just can't make up his mind!)

Then Georgia had to have her pictures taken. she's such a pretty hen

Good Georgia, she let us get a good picture of her back.
Now all this time Cleopatra and Mark Anthony have stayed in the coop so I thought I'd get a couple of them. Here Cleo's running to defend MA. Help that ladies in here again! She's very protective of him.

now - heres Georgias back. doesn't the frosting of the feathers and randome white feathers on the backs mean their white eyed?

so anyways we go in for lunch... but it doesn't take long....

And so we went out to chop and stack wood. Then to our amazement - YAY - Cleo and MA decided to join us - That or they like daddy better than me and will only come out when he's home... we'll have to check into this...

Further research was done with observation it was clear they only wanted to see daddy as they marched right past me and to daddy, he's to the left where they're looking. Brats!

Gerogia and Rose were on my side - lets go tell MA and Cleo they hurt moms feelings.

MA - Oh i didn't mean to... but i'm going inside - this outside world is scary as its our first time out. I'm taking this half naked chicken with me, she looks cold. (thats for you ZAZ!!!)
thats it for pictures, i was informed by my hubby i needed to put the camera down and work.... but they're soooo pretty!!!!

and i don't remember who originally did the photo stories but i loved them!
