Yes it is. Their cage is coming hopefully tomorrow along with a bunch of toys and other stuff. Just ordered it yesterday and it already shipped last night so should be here soon.

I know I probably should have set up the cage first and I was originally planning on it but there was a super friendly one there when I went last night and I didn’t want him to be sold so I went back this morning right away and got him and a friend (so he wouldn’t be lonely).

I figured since I was getting birds anyway, I may as well get a friendly one. And when I got them, she said the green one is awesome so I think I made a good choice.

But not to worry, it is temporary and they are going to have a big huge flight cage and tons of toys and possibly more friends very soon.

This is only for today and/or tomorrow depending on how long the cage takes to get here.

They were in glass at the store though so are used to it/know not to fly into it so I figure for tonight it’s safe.

They just needed something and we had this sitting empty.

But they are going to be very spoiled rotten and also out of the cage quite frequently.

i would remove the grit can cause impacted crops as budgies dehaul their seeds so they dont need it

Okay thank you! I had heard some people give it to them and thought I would just in case but I don’t want to hurt them so can take it out if it would.

Making progress already I think. Got the male to eat some millet earlier with me holding it. The female was a bit more cautious.

It’s not quite eating out of my hand yet but still. Pretty good for the first day I think. We’ll get there.

I tried the little millet bites but they wouldn’t get that close. only with me holding it from very far away.

I love the Bourkes! Wish I could try them. Lineolated too. Maybe one day.
