well since adding the oyster shells few days ago we didn't get any no/soft shell eggs today plus we got 2 jumbo eggs!


left weighes 2.7 onces one on right is 2.5 not sure if his jumbo was from our RSL or speckeled sussex. But our second jumbo egg was from our RSL

Wow look at the size of that thing!! Our biggest egg was over 100 grams, but I think it was smaller than cmom's.

crazy!! our jumbo eggs were just single eggs, I have only had single double yolks.

I see you have a nice rooster on your head. Someone dropped off this "chicken" down the road a couple days ago and we adopted her and someone on BYC told me it was a red sex-linked cockerel. We thought it was a hen and know nothing about roosters. He is extremely docile and friendly, though, a real lap bird. Much friendlier than my hand-raised hens. I never wanted a rooster because I thought they were aggressive and loud. Do you think he will stay docile or do they get meaner as they get older? Do you agree that is what he is? Will he look something like your roo? I am hoping to find a home for him. And soon.

he looks like a RSL rooster from the google imagine, I have never seen one to say for sure.
