Ludwig is squashed tightly into the middle of the girls on the roost.

He used to sleep with the junior pullets, but now the dominant ladies are taking the spaces close to him.

LOL, true. Although my hens are pretty quiet.

Kind of...it's the oil on his black feathers

Just in case you didn't know chickens have a oil gland at the base of there tails

It might sound like I'm being rude but I'm not. Just letting you know if you don't

No biggie, I already knew from butchering some of my roosters. Some birds develop natural blue feathers despite the light hitting it at an angle. Just wondering if your rooster had it.

I live out in the country, on 10 acres. Only have one neighbor that lives close to us, & they don't mind the noise. Never had a complaint about the birds.

It was probably some dumb kids ( my friends are kinda like that sometimes) my friends boyfried killed like 3 of his grandmas chickens pp(ripped the heads off) what a man
