Show Prep,, Bathing, Feeding, etc (TIPS NEEDED)

Most of the top exhibitors must be doing things wrong. Some use Vaseline, many use baby oil or VetRX on the comb, face, wattles, and shanks and toes.

If a bird has loose droppings, that should be addressed before a show. If a bird is fat, that should be addressed by diet. Birds should be the correct weight, but should also be in good condition. That is a combination of breeding and nutrition.
How do you harden up their droppings?

I have never had them. I'm getting to old to try a new breed. I have had many over the years. Mostly though the Rhode Island Reds and Rhode Island Whites.

I was deciding between the Rose Comb RIR and the Andalusian, but the latter looks to be super rare to find a quality breeder for up here

Is it true that your show chickens need to live in cages at all times. Especially if they are white.
