My respones have been to inform the differences in the two entirely different standards. Both countries watch football games. Here it is with an egg like ball, their it is with a round ball. And like with Orps, neither have any relation to each other, but their both called FOOTBALL.
Personal preferences have been left aside. Since we are here to help SUNSHINE know what a SHOW QUALITY ORP is here in the states, I try to show a bird that WON a show here in the states.
Sunshine, I believe has no intention of SHOWING in UK. However, this is an educational forum. I am sure she appreciates both standards. And IF she wants to show a UK style bird here in the states, be prepared to get trounced. I mean that UK bird wouldn't even place in a local county fair. Anyone who likes UK birds, more power to ya. Unfortunately, your posts do not mention that one would get creamed at a show here in the states with the bird that WON in the UK. And visa versa. It would be nice, since in MY opinion, to have pointed this out as you praise the Buff Orps from UK. OR IF SUNSHINE, and prolly another few others, would be thinking, heck with the USA Buff Orps, IF I REALLY want to WIN here in the USA, one needs a UK standards Buff Orp. But, those who praised these UK Orps did not. And indirectly, that can give a bad impression, for people here on BYC who are trying to educate a new comer to chickens, and to me, more importantly, a bad taste and experience with Orps. And it is people who do not raise Buffs, are the ones doing all the praising of UK Buffs. And that is NOT OKAY.
