Thank you so much for sharing photos of your birds Clucksworth. I have been whining since the beginning of this thread about the lack of size in the US Speckled Sussex. Seeing your pullet today was truly a delight...

Clucksworth, I certainly wouldn't turn her away from my coop!

I took some pics today of my up-and-comers as well as some of my current breeders. Sorry they're not the greatest shots. I don't know why I thought 100* weather was perfect photo weather.

My hair curls like crazy when there is high humidity!

LOL! I had him in a conditioning pen to see if that helped. I think it made it worse! I plucked some curled feathers and more came back in. Weird!

Close....it is usually because of the lack of humidity.

That's interesting. Humidity in PA was less than it is here and he had zero issues? Moved down here and about a month after we moved he started getting it. As cook as a frizzled would be I doubt it as he would have shown it from birth.

It usually goes away after the molt.

When I saw the photo and the best looking SS I have ever seen, I sure hoped it had the size to go with the wideth.

I sure wish my mother was still traveling-- I know she would bring back eggs for us!!
