OBTW, my hatch ran 24 hours late. I hatched 2 of the 4 SS eggs that went into lockdown.. I am keeping the incubator plugged in over night and see if I am blessed with another chick or two in the morning.

Yes and I've been fighting a sinus cold for a couple of weeks. Got to LOVE children, they bring home the cooties and then spread them around to everyone. My dad and I were the last two to get it AND the last two to recover.

Hello all! I am up to a total of 13 bantam speckled sussex! True, most are males but it should give me a good starting flock to get a bit more blood and diversity in there. Really happy how they are shaping up. Does anyone need any extra bantam cockerels for their programs? I think I should have 3-4 extras that I won't need.

I thought the same thing originally. Now...my only Largefowl are my Langshans! Bantam favorites are now my Speckled Sussex and my Langshan bantams! There's a lot of bang in a bantam Speckled Sussex! You should try it some time!
