show quality speckled sussex ??

As of now, just excited to find some good ones! Once they are out of the dark, I may want more of a critique on them but these photos are definitely not good for conformation purposes. Just too dark and they aren't posed.

The pullet is 6 months old ad the cockerel is 7 months according to the breeder.

No Problem, I just didn't want you to think we were rude if you were waiting on a response and you didn't get one !

You are 100% right, the pics are not the best for critique ....

OBTW, CONGRATULATIONS on the new SS....

I got a few more photos today. Hopefully you can see them a bit better:

They are not nearly as photographic as my Langshans...

Welcome to the SS thread. For these Bantams being as young as they are I really like the color. How are the wings ? any white feathers ? Really look forward to seeing them in better light. From what I can see I really like the pullet.

Thank you snowbird! (nice to see you again!)

To me, she is the more typey of the two. I like her width and when she stands correctly, her tail fans nicely. Not all pinched up. Neither of them have pure white or half white wing feathers. The male wing feathers in the top photo show the color fairly accurately. If this weekend is nice, I will try to put them into the "outdoor" cage for a short bit while I clean coops. I tried to get better photos tonight, but they are just so darn friendly! Wouldn't stand away from me!

Fortunately it's just the picture. I was very hard on these birds when I went to look at them. The other male that was there had a slight rise to his back, but this male has a flat back. I promise I will get better pictures this weekend. The only issue with his back is that it is the color of a Rhode Island Red (a good one) with not a speck of white. I'm not too worried as he will lighten up and the female will help throw some good white into his offspring.

But I can absolutely see what you mean about the raised area.
