My little Slikie cross, probably with Cochin Bantam. Got her a week ago, her name is Opal. She's a sweetheart and is slowly getting used to everyone. She even stole a minnow from one of the ducks the other day!

I love her mix of colours, so unique.

I love her color! She's just so small and fluffy! The soft grey and red are such a good combination. I have a little cochin pullet myself. She lives with my silkies. I will definitely hatch some of her eggs next year. Especially after seeing how cute the mixes are. She's a frizzle too, so half of her chicks will be frizzled.

We also have our Silkies running with the B Cochins. Technically, the Silkies are my grandson's, and the Cochins are my daughter's. But I'm the one that takes care of all of them.

Little Opal was found at a livestock sale a week ago, and we all love her to bits. She's a character, and so pretty. We can't wait to see what we can get with our own.

I have a few Silkie mixes as well! 😁 One Silkie x Easter-egger and several Silkie x Cochin bantams. My Cochin bantams are silkied so the Silkie mixes from them have silkied feathering as well and have been confused for poor quality Silkies. 🤭

Ganymede is the Easter-egger mix. She's a grouch, especially right now because she's broody AGAIN.

The Silkie x Cochin mixes, Peanut Butter, Amaretto, Armada, and Gluttony. Their brothers have been buttheads so I haven't kept any of them.
