" Show your King's "

Went to a local auction today to buy some Runt pigeons. Didnt see any Runt pigeons

but did get some other pigeons. At first I thought these were Runts then after I bought the first cage of four the guy in front of me said they were not then I got stupid and bid on the others and wasnt paying attention and well now I have them

Anyone got any helpful advice for these big things?

My friend has a pair of Runts, she likes Kings better.... she'll be putting them up for sale.

I have one King, and I must admit I like their faces better also. As to care, they are treated like our other pigeons....
Don't know if it's typical, but that is how the people we got them from did it.

Mickacoo Pigeon Rescue has lots of kings looking for homes. I have 4 kings from them, they are the tamest of all my birds. One male I have named Rio is more like a dog then pigeon.

Personally I like utility kings more, but those are pretty too

They don't require anything different than other pigeons.

Those are nice looking birds. Kings are a great breed. I had both types for many years. The utility type are even bigger. It seamed my friends with homers and rollers were always amassed by the size of my birds. I also had a pair of Runts when I was a kid. It was along time ago, but I don't remember them being that much bigger than my utility birds. Anyway they're great birds and I hope you enjoy them.

Oh yea I like them, just wish I had more room for all of them. I have room for four of them not eight.

We found a wonderful older man that has Show Kings, Texas Pioneers, Modinas, and French Mondaines (hope I got all those right) and they are huge!! All we have are rollers and I swear they look like sparrows compared to his. I have chickens that are smaller...
