there very nice birds and there always going be something work on sence there no such thing a perfection and that what the breed standard want lol

I know what you mean, I culled all my breeds way back this year, only keeping the best. Try to always improve on them, But It gives all something to work on, which is most of the fun !! LOL !!

next year i well be cutting way back i well be only doing showgirls and may be one 2 pair polish

Well, I may as well not even give my opinion because I have a mixed review !!!
At first I thought male because in one picture the topknow looked a little swept back like mine are and the wattles are bigger then my hens. Then I saw another view of the topknot and thought Hmmmm maybe it is a girl.

I don't see streamers, sparklers as I call them

The comb isn't big but noticable so ??????? Tough call !!

How old is she/he? That might sway me in either direction.

Hmmm Ok, I'm gonna guess , Female !!! I have 50% chance of being right.

Ok guys, I know I've asked this question before but I don't think I got an answer or if I did I forgot it or overlooked it

Anyway, I want to get some different color showgirls in my flock. I have white and partridge. I also want to add some silkie lines to them as well.

This is what I have in Silkie Roos to breed to the showgirls.

Blue, Splash, White, Lavender, Silver, Partridge

Silkie hens I have:

White, Splash, Blue, Buff, Black, Partridge, Silver

I know the colors wouldn't be standard colors to begin with ie the lavender chicks would be lavender splits. Then I would breed the offspring back to the lavender silkie roo to get lavenders right.

Ok now, What would I get if I bred the partridge showgirls to all of the colors I mentioned above? For example If I bred a partridge to a blue what would the outcome be? Then would I breed back to the blue to get full blue showgirls?

I know white can be recessive. I bred a buff silkie to a white showgirl and got partridge showgirl chicks. Now if I crossed them to buff would that get me more buffs ????

I know I made this clear as mud but I think you know where I'm coming from, at least I hope !!

Ps I know these would be project showgirls. I am just overflowing with partridge and I would love to breed them and get some other colors.
