Could you tell me what color she is, she is a 4 month old showgirl i got from a breeder who said she was a lavender but i think shes a blue, i also have her brother that looks the same.

her brother doesnt look as nice he has less foot feathering and a pointed tail but the breeder said she had no whites, blues and blacks. and i ended up getting 2 of these blues 2 mix brownish colors and 2 whites both whites had yellow eyes(looked creepy) but the blues where the only ones to survive the 6 hour trip back

and our dog...but with her brother im going to try breeding him to see if his chicks look better otherwise ill sell him

Some of the "lavenders" that have been in existence and used for breeding for several years are actually dilute splashes, which is why some people who thought they were getting lavenders actually got birds in the blue family, which is distinct from the lavender (self blue). I think no one did this on purpose; dilute splashes sometimes look like self blues, but the genetic makeup is quite different.

ya their only 4 months so far i cant wait tell she starts laying! im going to a poultry show next week so im going to look for a nice blue rooster and some hens

a lot breeder well only sell pair so if u buy nice pair then u hit 2 birds one stone
