Showgirl thread- for posting pictures and discussing breed!

So I have to share that I have some silkie eggs and others in the bator, all due today. So yesterday while out running some errands they start to hatch. I come home to find a showgirl in the incubator!!!

I am still in shock. These were eggs from a couple of new girls we got for DD's group and to show later this fall, I decided to set a few of their first eggs after they arrived just to see if I would get anything, well and they surprise me with a showgirl.

I have contacted the breeder to see what they were in with. Will post pics once everyone is finished hatching and into the brooder, it is sooo darn cute!!

From the batch of eggs i have i the incubator i have 3 showgirls so far and 9 silkies.... 4 more eggs to go....

I like all the showgirls, but am somewhat partial to the partridges and blue partridges--maybe because I have several really nice ones. Aren't these birds a delight?

my daughters showgirls, 1 week shy of 2 months, cookie the partridge i think is a girl think comb and straight narrow beak, where as Flour the white has a wide comb that has a really nice arch . not to mention his neck is a little thicker then cookies.

What great pix!! I love the look of surprise on Flour's face...and the pix of those babies with your beautiful daughters are precious! Yup, gotta love these showgirls...
