Jen are you talking about this little doll baby!

She is such a character! I had her in the coop for a few hours today and she pretty much was going around checking everyone and everything out. She is awesome in everyway! Also very attached to Edward not sure how I will seperate them. It will break all of our hearts. Both Showgirls are right here with me right now eating. Her crest is very nice but all yucked up from the food. They all get a hot breakfast of eggs and oatmeal, and the very sticky Lefaber's mix several times a day, everyday. I am head over heels over them. I will send pics as they grow I know it had to be hard to let her go. But am very greatful you choose me. I don't think anyone could love them anymore than I do. We will get you some eggs.

I never expected 2 showgirls but was hoping and no way thought I would get a pullet. Wow! I will take very good care of them all and look forward to buying a couple more. I just love love love your line! Thanks Jennifer!

That is quite the hairdo. They look like that if they happen to dunk their crest before judging too. I had that happen at my second show, I pulled the water but someone put it back in and I walked by before the judge reached them and one of the pullets had a very soggy doo going on. C'est la vie.

Hey rilly10,
Good luck on the babies. I have nine eggs in the bator {white SG} and am on day 9. Due to hatch round about Nov. 29th.
Yea! go babies, grow babies...um yea go!

Beautiful Showgirls everyone, gotta love'em.

Suz

Good luck Rilly10! Silkie Sue keep us updated. I have 7 silkie eggs going into lockdown tonight at 11. I already have anything that hatches rehomed because I didn't want anymoe 100% silkie hatches but needed the practice for the Showgirls next year. I have heard that Showgirls are more hardy during hatch. I also hope to do better with nonshipped eggs. Jen when I candle I will let you know about the eggs you sent. I may snatch one out when I move the silkie eggs real quick. Good luck everyone. I just love my Showgirls! I ordered diapers today since they will be inside most of the winter.

Hello SSS
I'll definately try to update often. I'll say the SG's are very tough little birds...

They will chase the yard cat off...him cringing and hurrying as they peck his behind.
Just wee Raptor's disguised in fancy fluff. Take care!

Thanks everyone! I can't wait! They are in lockdown tomorrow! Good luck to eveyone else with SG eggs in the incubator as well!

That little black pullet is SOOO NICE! Kudos to Ultrasol for breeding such a nice girl and to SSS, congrats on getting her! Please keep us posted with pics as she grows! I am sure she will be stunning!

Rilly I will be watching this thread for the pics. I a so jealous and can't not wait to hatch showgirls, they are just too darn cute that tiny. The pics don't do her justice, and she is still very young and has a lot of filling out to do! I had the ugliest little non bearded silkie that stayed here forever on character alone. This little girl has the best of both worlds. Hence I will be keeping them inside till spring. My husband is gonna have a heart attack when he comes in from Iraq to find I have chickens in diapers in the house but there will be extra room in the coop if he wants to go there. It is nice and toasty with the lamps in there.

Ultalsol I will keep you updated on the eggs I am not holding my breath though I think they had a rough ride here. I noticed the difference in the air sacs between my own eggs and shipped eggs a week or so ago when I candled. There is a huge difference! Like I said I go into lockdow in 4 hours and may take a quick peek to see if any are developing. I will also keep my fingers crossed for ALL the eggs, the black show pen egg may help my cockerel situtation. Black show pen or lav/self blue really will end this year better than I ever thought possible.

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone hatches.

I can't wait to see how she fills out. I hope it's a girl!! If either PP (probable pullet) is a fellow, you would end up with a black cockerel. To me, though, they both looked very feminine.
