As chicks I use the small rubber bands found on ebay as teens I use reqular lag bands and have never had a problem. Just make sure stuff does not get stuck in them.

Rilly sorry you had to give up some of your colors. I know how it stinks to downsize I am also doing the same thing because of the move.

I have white Showgirl and Lav. Silkies/lav splits hatching eggs on Ebay that ends in about a hour and 25 minutes if anyone is interested.... My showgirls are 12th generation or more and very nice.

I know you'll are right. I just never seem to get around to it.... but, I've been thinking on it alot.
