is this a male? my two showgirls are about 5 weeks and they have they same head stuff going on as yours. I was wondering if they wee males because of it
so it it a female?Here it is this week, crest coming in... 4 -5 weeks old. have not had any of my showgirls hatch with the darker head---this one is getting darker through the body now though it almost looks black...it was a total chipmunk when it was small. Still a lot of pin feathers coming in the hairdoshould get a lot fluffier with that big old head lump.

oh ok! does the skin and feather color have somethng to do with the gender?Ill let you know when it crows or I get an egg. With a comb and skin that black I am not going to know for awhile!
