Most of us continue to cross showgirls to silkies from time to time because otherwise they become more and more naked. NN to NN will soon produce young that are naked all the way down through their breasts (a full crop looks gross in these), with additional big patches of naked skin in a lot of other places. You can't really tell the NN from the Nn for certain until you see what the babes are like from the crosses.

Jesse, I wish you'd quit posting those pics!

I'll be hitting you up for some Partridge eggs come spring! Love that pullet!! Would the best way to start with Showgirls be with a NN roo? At least that would be my understanding, that I'd end up with all Bow Tie chicks when bred to my Silkies? It's not even winter yet, and I'm hoping for spring!

Yes, but I figured the NN roo would give me an almost "instant" flock of Nn SGs. I'd keep some of the girls for only breeding Silkies too.
