There's something about Showgirls and the crazy things they make us do that manage to get us into trouble with the other half, isn't there? I'm planning to spend around $70 on a dozen high quality Silkie eggs to improve my lines. My partner is going to string me up by my toenails!!!!! LOL!

Maine.

OK. Thanks.
That's kinda far from me in TN. I'm finding I get better results if the eggs don't ship too far.
Sad, cause this is a GREAT deal...

Got my eggs, packed great, no broken eggs and 3 extras!!! I will get some giant blue cochin eggs tomorrow and then they will all go in the incubator. Thanks so much, I will let you know in 3 weeks how they turn out. Thanks again.

Where are you located?

I just ordered some from Pa and I think the heat and distance killed all of them!

-----Edited to say, nevermind, just read Maine.

Wegotchickens- Yeah, that's quite a distance. I will guarantee satisfaction with the first hatch, just as an FYI. Free replacement, you pay shipping. I think it's risky buying eggs through the mail b/c of PO handling and only fair to make sure folks have a good chance at getting some chicks out of it. You could try in October, if you'd like. Drop me a PM or email if so.

Tororider- Thanks for the feedback on shipping. I pack the way Eggbid recommends- it's easy and it seems to work out really well. Not a broken egg yet!
Good luck with your babies!

I love Cochins- if it wasn't for Showgirls/Silkies, that would be my breed of choice.

Volume904- Did the seller offer to send some replacement eggs? Maybe it would be worth asking? That's such a bummer! I bet you're right, it was the heat that did them in.

Thepetpaw- I'm tentatively booked for egg orders into October. I can put you on my list to contact for early October if you'd like.

Thanks, burntumber. That's good to know. And I was seriously thinking about it until DH stomped and pitched a fit over NO MORE BABIES THIS YEAR.
He wants me to wait until Spring to do more hatching. Actually, he'd rather I didn't hatch any more at all but will compromise if I'll wait until spring
