Yours are beautiful. Anymore action on the pip front? I love the "got your toes" game. Fun stuff. I got two partrige showgirls and two white silkies . Two black silkies, one white showgirl. I am not sure what the black dot means on the top of the white silkies heads??? In some breeds it means a male. Does anyone know???

Silkies .............like all the rest really change colors when growing up. Not blacks or whites, just all the others go lighhter...darker....etc.
The dot doesn't mean anything right now.:<)
I really like watching what shades the partridges get. I've had some go blond and others dark red. Fun!

Cool! Yes, they are different from each other already!! One of the silkies has a vaulted forehead! Its funny. They are all so different. I cant wait to see the colors either. Even the black ones are not the same as each other. One is really darker than the others!!! I am glad the dot does not mean anything. I would like some hens.

I can't believe yours are only a day! Mine need to fluff up!!!

No more pips. I don't know what has happened, but I am at high altitude and I've read it can really reduce the hatch rate when the eggs are produced at low altitude (as these were)...

Ohhh! I did not know that made a difference. I have only had a few hatches and only a couple really successful ones. The two you have are just precious. You can fluff them by hand. I have used my sleeve to primp their doos. My kids hold them a lot as well and that fluffs them too. I have even used a comb before. shhhh dont tell. People may think its mean. hehehe At least you got a showgirl!!! My first 4 born were all Silkies. I was getting nervous I thought I may not get any naked necks. The last three were naked necks though. (And the one that died was a naked neck as well. Partridge color) Are you hatching any more this year?

Aren't they too funny!!! the showgirls are usually in my experience smaller than regular silkies for some reason. check out their eyeballs and you'll see what I mean.:<)
