what happen? did they hatch than die?
You are on my test egg list too, would you like to try 6-8 eggs from A or B group for the postal $9 ?
Denny, I sent you the eggs yesterday, please let me know how/when they made it, and what do you think of the Marans eggs.
Ahappychick, I saw the pictures of all your new chicks under "Breeds, Genetics, & Showing",

what a wonderful group of mixed color and type, looks like you have got bearded and non-beard, clean neck and bow tie. Color is interesting too, Great job! both on hatching and photo.

oh thank you I am very excited. I just love that I got almost 2 of every kind

they are all the special chicks and ds knows it. They live in the guest room as opposed to where all the other brooders are. lol

I am sorry too newchickenmom, I also hatched silkies from another member using the same bators and only got 2 to hatch, there are so many variables from point A to point B that it is hard to have a hatch. Better luck next time

newchickenmom........try not to be too discouraged. that you got some to hatch means your on the right track! Wait a little bit and try again if you feel up to it. I've had some wonderful hatches near 90% and some not so wonderful with only 1 lonely chick hatching. Too much happens from beginning to finish that we can't even begin to understand sometimes. Hang in there!

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.
I lost one of my light brahmas today the poor thing was all fluffy looking for the past couple of days I just figuring that maybee she was getting ready to lay her 1st egg. I went out this morning to check for eggs hoping that 1 of my 21 week old pullets would have laid one and I found her dead in the middle of there house floor I only had 3 light brahma girls and now I have 1 hen and the other turned into a very sweet big rooster. I guess I have room to keep a couple of the marans if they hatch out now .
