Oh that is so sad!!!I do love the Brahmas. They are well behaved and docile. I have one male. He is my favorite. I am so sorry for the loss. Was she weezing or have any discharge from eyes or nose? Man, that is rough. I am sorry. I do love the marans as well. Their eggs are beautiful.

The only thing I noticed with her is that she was all fluffed up all the time for a couple days now I figured that she might be cold becouse we have had a couple nights that have been in the 20s well I guess I am still learning about chickens I've only had chickens since last October never had any before then

I got all of my eggs in today 24 showgirls 6 of angies marans and 13 of anothe members cuckoo marans all came in great condition 43 eggs and none were cracked. My egg Turner only holds 41 so I had to put 2 of my smaller showgirl eggs on top of the other eggs in the Turner.
And the countdown begins

Danny, it happens. I have not had any experience in disease yet either. And I dont want to. I have had friends loose almost entire flock to silly diseases I have never heard of. I am so careful and practice biosecurity for my flock. I am so carful. No birds come in that I do not hatch. I know it sounds crazy but you cant be too careful. WOW!!! 43 eggs!!! I thought 20 was a lot. You go man!!! How is your wife? I hope all is well. (are the other kids excited about the other incubation?) hehehe Have a great day!

Yeah this is great I got some from her blue/splash pen so I hope I will end up with a splash this time.my wife is doing great and the kids are so excited one wants a boy and the other wants a girl.
All of my other chickens are doing great all look very healthy if I could just talk them into giving me an egg they would be doing really great.

How do you know a splash as a baby? I was just wondering. One of my partridge seems to be a blue. Its beautiful. The other is browns. My black silkie seems to be a mix of black and grey or blue. The colors are just great. I love them all. Originals!!!

I'm here! LOL So sorry but this hatch seems a little delayed with the first arrival in the wee am hours today! Maybe my timing was off..........but I got a Showgirl partridge! 2 more eggs are piping.....so I am hoping for some late evening zippers tonight! 7 total in there so wish me luck.
