showwing chickens

Once again, yes they will look for mites, they're kind of hard to miss. As a side note, if you know they have mites don't take your birds to the show. The mites can infect other birds at the show. It's a pretty rude thing to do.

but will they look for mites at the show or just when inspected
I just have to ask "WHY, would you knowingly take a bird with bug issues to a show?"

It does not sound like you are worried about catching parasites from someone elses bird. It sounds like you are knowingly wanting to take a bird with parasites (eggs, larvae, etc) to a show.

This is similar to sending a child to school with Lice... It is one thing to do it in ignorance, but it is irresponsible to knowingly do it... JUST MY OPINION!

X2 100%!!!!

I can't tell you the number if times I've contracted parasitic issues from birds in neighboring pens. It's especially irritating when the infested birds are obviously lice-ridden. (eggs are easily seen in the beard and muffs)
I now thoroughly spray down my birds before and after shows to try and prevent lice contraction, and every other month as a parasite maintenance. If owners were more responsible, I wouldn't have to work so hard to keep the problem at bay.

i am resposible and i toke your advice and got the eggs out and i won first place

Congratulations! I am so glad that you did great at your show. Now that you have taken care of the parasites it should be quite easy to regularly inspect your chickens for them and know how to treat them quickly.
