One of mine was shrink-wrapped badly. A successful assist later and I have 3 chicks. Middle of day 21 so not sure if others will hatch no pips. Radio silence.

He passed about an hour ago. I’m glad that it was this way instead of growing in pain without any way to walk, eat, or socialize.

4 malpositions who never made it - so about a 50% hatch in total. 1 got as far as an internal pip and then died. The others died before pipping.

I still have 4 eggs due on Tues - fingers crossed for all the babies! Hope you're OK?

I did eggtopsies once I had confirmed they weren't alive. It's kind of weird to get so many facing the wrong end of the egg or head over wing, right?
