Shrink wrapped ducks?? What should I do?

I have been DIPPING them cuz that's what they said!!!! Than I have been reading up on all this and saw the misting, thought it was just another method...and now I am having a heart attack!!! I have had a successful hatch with the ducks doing this twice...than on COMPLETE FAILURE...but wondering of it was my bator???

Failure as in sticky????? Are they getting gooy stuff??? May be to much water, or not enough. They have to lose sooo much water per week..

They were developing and quit....I think about 3 weeks into the process. The eggs started getting a dark color...didn't smell or anything..just dark grayish color. I took them back to the place I got the eggs, thinking they could tell me what went wrong, but the only thing they looked for is to see if they were indeed fertile eggs and developing...no help at all. Now I am trying to learn what I can so that this won't happen again..I was soooo sad!

The inside of the shell got dark??

I believe ALHMAMA egg just shadowed today, so technically we could have waited one more day to see if he makes his own hole.. But I believe he's already past the due date, so it won't hurt him to do it a little earlier...

But we could have waited until tomorrow to see if he makes his own..

They shadowed on Saturday... Oh crap. Should I be worried again!?
