Siberian Husky? Good protectors?

I have a sled dog kennel, and NO they would not protect your chickens, they would EAT THEM!!!! I wouldn't trust any of my huskies around a chicken. A siberian would make a wonderful pet, if you'd keep it AWAY from the birds.

He is the best dog ever but he cannot be trusted near chickens (or anything else small and furry).

I have two 1/2 husky's. They would rather eat a chicken than guard it any day. They've been around them since they were 5 weeks old too, so it's not like they aren't used to them. They're great dogs, LOTS of energy, very smart, but I wouldn't trust them around my chickens for anything.

I had a husky that killed our cat, and my neighbors up the road have two huskies that have killed many of the neigbors' chickens. NOT a good choice at all! It wouldn't be a guard, it would be the predator!
