You could use a small, clean container (like one that would hold sour cream or cottage cheese) with small holes cut into the lid, just big enough for them to put their heads in - but not bodies - or a clean jug with holes cut into the sides (same concept, just large enough for them to put their bills in). Since yours are a bit older, the jug or something similar might work best for them. See examples here.
